Pinterest Collections

As of recent, I am experimenting with Pinterest as a scholarly and educational resource. While I am still analysing the pros and cons, I have started five image collections based on my own research interests, namely medieval ‘science,’ technology, books and games. I will be updating them regularly as I go and I hope not only to expand them, but also to experiment further with Pinterest as a platform and its potential advantages for the collection and presentation of knowledge and the creation of a new one.

Should you have any suggestions as to how to develop this initiative further and how to explore its collaborative side, give me a shout! For the moment, I have just one simple question: do you find it useful if such personal collections of resources otherwise available online are being shared?

You can find my collections here:

History of the Book

Teaching and Learning the Mathematical Sciences in the Middle Ages

Premodern Astronomy and Astrology

Medieval Technology

Medieval Games

And if you are currently writing your PhD, here is the board I created while I was writing mine! On occasion it made me laugh, relax and feel less lonely. I hope it works for you!
